This is the definitive collection of MiniMoog sounds; sampled
extensively with long loops from a real Minimoog and sculpted by the
synthesis tools in EVE and Wusikstation. The soundset features a wide
spectrum of the unique leads, basses and sound effects for which the
MiniMoog is renowned. Further than this, the MiniMoog sound is extended
into the realm of spacial pads and polysynth sounds with the polyphony,
layering and stereo effects of the samplers. There are also a number of
split keyboard patches.
Playing the sounds and making them come alive requires some techniques
that were developed on the original MiniMoog. When playing leads, use
the legato technique, playing smoothly on the keyboard without
retriggering a full note on; interesting timbres can be produced this
way.
The legato technique along with pitch bend and mod wheel (for vibrato)
can create expressive leads and basses. When playing the SYN and PAD
presets (which are polyphonic) use chords, and be sure to hold for a
little to hear the evolution of the sound - there are quite a few
little surprises. For Wusikstation users, there are several PAD and SYN
presets that make use of the unique Wave sequencing abilities of
Wusikstation.
While the presets do show off what can be
done with this sound set, part of the real beauty is in creating your
own customized sounds using the 86 available multisamples . Your
imagination is the limit.

from the background of a successful Atari-MIDI resource
